Reviews From Our Guests

Give it six stars!!!

The restaurants and specialty food shops we visited (Kitchen Sink, Hakan Chocolatier, Miss Tea, Beacon Bread Company, Scarborough Fair, Paul Brady Wines, et al) and their owners/chefs created a wonderful tasting experience, but it was the tour and our guide (Ryan) who turned it into an amazing three-hour journey of discovery. History. Culture. Food. Drinks & Laughs. There is no better way to spend an afternoon in the Hudson Valley. Can’t wait to do their full day Food & Farm Tour!!!

A Relaxing, Wonderful Day in the Hudson Valley

This tour is one of the best I have taken. On the day I took the tour, our guide was Ryan: funny, articulate, knowledgeable and oh, so accommodating. From beginning to end, we were fed and fed and fed. Each food spot offering generous and delicious portions. Ryan synchronized our return to the Beacon station so we could easily catch the 4:55 pm train back to NYC. It was a delightful, unforgettable day. One you should not miss!

Hudson Valley - a hidden gem of food, landscape and history

We took the Food and Farm Tour in the Hudson Valley - a fabulous day! Easy to get to from NYC - enjoyed the town of Beacon and toured beautiful spots in the Hudson Valley. Enjoyed great food directly from local farmers and purveyors while learning of the history of this magical area. Amy, our guide, was spectator. Not to be missed.

Head to the Hudson ASAP!

It was very informative and full of delicious tastings at great small businesses and local farms. We went up on a Saturday and now want to check out the tour on a Sunday, as some of the tastings are different - but that's how much we enjoyed it. Amy is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She is clearly very passionate about the work she does and the place she calls home. This tour was also a great way to show off Beacon, NY - a super cute town with so many little shops worth checking out.

New Food and Farm Tour

The Foods of New York Team has done it again! We were among the first to do the all new Food and Farm Tour. It was amazing! It started at the Beacon Train Station and went to several local establishments including the towns of Beacon and Newburgh. The most impressive parts of the tours were the visits to the farm and apple orchard. As usual the history and information was well researched and thought out. The itinerary was well planned. The food was perfect! I would recommend Fodds of New York and this tour to anyone.

5 stars and HIGHLY recommended!

My husband, adult son and I absolutely loved this tour of the Food and Farms of the Hudson Valley. Our guide Amy is the designer and owner of the tour, and her passion for the project infused all of her interaction with us. She was amazing. The food was varied and great, and the farmers and entrepreneurs all had their own unique stories and talents. My favorite was the mother-and-daughter team at AOOA Farm, but all stops were more than worthwhile. I come from Hawaii, but this tour makes me want to visit the Hudson Valley again.
