Explore Farms in the Hudson Valley for a Taste of New York!
A Farm-to-Table Day Trip to taste the best of the Hudson Valley, a fantasy land filled with farms, cideries, artisan food markets and farm-to-table restaurants, making the region the perfect food-lovers day-trip via train from the Big Apple or for locals driving to the region! Let us guide you as we dig in to flavorful, seasonal, small-batch food & drink from family operated farms.
On this food tasting adventure you’ll visit beautiful farms, eat delicious food, drink hard cider made from NY state apples, meet adorable animals and shop at a vibrant farmers market and a charming farm stand. Indulge in local cheeses, artisanal sandwiches, hand-crafted meat pies and distilled spirits. It’s the epitome of four seasons: crisp apples in the fall, sweet strawberries in the summer. Hearty kale soups and beef stews in winter, and come spring, it’s garlic and greens as far as the eye can see.
Eat, drink, meet the farmers and explore as we tell the stories of the Hudson Valley– from its roots as the birthplace of the environmental movement to its role as the breadbasket of NYC. Get insider-access to the best spots within the farm-fresh, food-forward Hudson Valley region — just 60 miles north of NYC, but a world away.
Timing Note: This food and farm tour’s unique features include a 1/2 walking tour & a 1/2 mini-bus tour. Since we’re at the will of the country roads (and sometimes traffic) as well as our own desire to do a little shopping at farmers markets and country stores, we want to make sure you leave plenty of time. At the end of the day, we won’t book any other events too close to our end-time, just in case we experience a half-hour delay. Be prepared for a delicious and filling day!

Food & Farm Tour FAQ
-
- Vegetarian substitutions are available on all our tours.
- Nut-free tastings are available on all tours. We have not had any problems in the past, but we do warn of potential cross-contaminations and traces of nuts in kitchens.
- Our Food Tours have been designed to highlight the best and most unique aspects of each establishment. Unfortunately, there isn’t always a “next best” food tasting option that also meets the special dietary needs of each of our guests. Since we have your health (and palate!) in mind, we truly appreciate your understanding on this issue.
- Please contact us if you are concerned about an allergy.
-
Not more than you can handle! All our walking tours involve about a mile of walking with places to sit, stand or rest in between over the course of the tour. We cover enough of a neighborhood’s food, history, and culture to satisfy everyone’s curiosity.
-
Lots! Enough food tastings are served that most people do not need dinner afterwards. And that is the truth! We have toured over thousands of people and it’s very rare that anyone walks away hungry.
-
The tour begins and ends in Beacon, NY in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Exact address will be provided when you purchase your tickets.
